The autoclaved Pines truly revolutionized the wood’s use in the construction area. Pertaining of that, it’s in the quantity of projects that had passed to use that method nowadays. The treatment avoids the aging and the precocious wood’s decomposing, and it still guarantees a positive wood’s life that can exceed 70 years.
Know how the treatment is made!
MADEPIL AC - 40
CCA – Type C – Oxide
MADEPIL AC – 40 is a preservative with a fungicidal action and appropriate insecticide, exclusively, for the industrial of wood’s treatment autoclaved by vacuum /pressure, carried out in the Treatment Units of Wood (TUW).
MADEPIL AC – 40 is chemically classified as Arsenic Cooper Chromate (ACC) type C - Oxide, containing 72% of the active ingredients. Their effective action protects the wood in opposition to the putrefaction (fungus), also against the xylophages insects attacks as (termites, wood dust, etc.) and in opposition to the destruction caused by the action of the corrosive sea air.
MADEPIL AC – 40 is manufactured under rigid control with reference to the raw material and the technological process, in conformity with the Brazilian regulation NBR-8456 and with the statute P-5 of the AWPA (American Wood Preservers' Association), quality made under international recognition that guarantees to the product the larger quality and fidelity.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
Made it with pure oxides, the CCA type C MADEPIL AC - 40 presents the subsequent proportion of active ingredients:
|
Arsenic |
Cooper
(Calculated as CuO) 18,5% |
Hexavalent chrome
(Calculated as Creo ) 47,5% |
MADEPIL AC - 40 is a hydro soluble product dedicated to the dry wooden treatment by vacuum processes - pressure in surrounding temperature. It’s prearranged in the concentrated form (72% 1), puree consistency and brown coloration - redness. Appropriately applied to the wood, it increases their useful life, above and beyond of that it offers a several advantages as:
-Even though being soluble in water, you shouldn’t use the sandpaper after its application, with the purpose of the product reacts with the polymer component of the wood, resulting in compound insoluble substances retained in the fibers;
-It doesn’t transmit aroma to the wood; neither exhale vapors and no leave residuals in their surface. Researches made by considered environmental and toxicological authorities of various countries, confers to the CCA an endorsement for the frequent treatment of wood in contact with the skin such as rooms, commercial constructions and parks, in addition an infinity of applications in the rural area;
-Previously applied, it maintains unchanged the natural electric conductivity of the wood, significant importance factor for applications in sectors like the electrician and the railway (posts, crossbeams, sleepers, etc.);
-The woods treated with CCA, doesn’t increase the corrosion in metals used in contact with, neither modify the combustibility, characteristic of the wood material. It is important also to state that the superficial finishing can be applied and it presents superior permanence than that one achieved when applied in pieces without treatment.
The next illustrations symbolize the stages of the autoclaved treatment. The complete wood for the treatment is introduced in the autoclaved process:

1 - The initial vacuum takes out the present air inside the wood’s cells.
2 – Under Vacuums the treatment solution is transferred to the autoclave.
3 - Under high pressure the treatment solution is injected in the wood until saturating it.
4 - The pressure is unloaded and the extra solution returns to the reservoir.
5 - The final vacuum takes out the exceed solution in the surface of the wood.
Several factors contribute for the Preservation of Wood in Brazil, a number of these are revealed:
The CCA due to their characteristics of effectiveness and security confers to the preserved wood an extensive versatility of applications in the most variety sectors.
In the middle of the well-known hydro soluble preservatives, the CCA is unquestionably the more used preservative in the world. Their manufacture and employ are regulated in almost of the countries that use the preserved wood. In Brazil its production is carried out according in the direction of the Brazilian norm NBR - 8456 and its use is specified for an assortment of applications through the own ABNT regulations.
A lot of studies and meticulous analysis carried out with the CCA can be considered by researchers, toxicological and environmental authorities of diverse countries, an efficient and safe preservative;
The companies that manufacture and commercialize CCA in Brazil, produce it under the most rigid patterns of quality, they invest significantly in the technological development of the product and they are eternally monitored by the authorities of health, security and environment.
